Braxton Hicks

GeoTagged, [N49.16927, E123.15000]

I started feeling mild contractions last Sunday. I already knew that it would be normal to feel those cramps especially now that I'm on my 21st week of pregnancy. Last night was totally different. Tightness together with a little bit of pain in my abdomen started happening around 8pm with intervals from 5 mins - 20 mins. It was really bothering me and my husband Luis. And wig his help he tried researching in the Internet some ways to alleviate the cramping and pain such as lying in my left side, drinking lots of water and he also gave me a back massage. After 2 hours I started feeling better and felt asleep. But the contractions did occur again around 4:00 this morning and 7:00 am when I woke up. Luis adviced me to call someone to take my shift and see my doctor instead. I first dropped by at my family doctor's clinic but he wasn't around so I just called my OB gyne's clinic to make an appointment. Luckily she wasn't around too that's why Suzy the receptionist just adviced me to go straight here in Richmond Hospital to get examined and assessed. I got really anxious when I heard that I had to go to here. I mean my mom and family not being around plus my husband on his way to work means I'll be alone. I probably have adjusted since I arrive here in Canada last February but being alone during hospitalization will be first and scary for me. Good thing my husband decided not to go to work and be with me instead. When u got here nurse and doctors did an assessment with me. Interviewed my medical history, took some urine samples and performed blood tests as well. Currently I am still here in my bed, while hubby's taking a nap in the chair and at 4:15pm I'll be brought down for my abdominal ultrasound. I have one spot that is painful that's why they'll try to find out which us causing it. Hopefully everything will be fine and I can't wait to go home and cook lumpiang toge which I'm craving since last night. I'll be back later for more updates!

Cuddling Brings Back Her Baby To Life

I found this article from a post in Smartcanucks.com and it really made me cry.  I can totally relate especially now that I'm 5 months pregnant.  I totally agree that they are one of the most luckiest parents!

Father's Day 2010

June 20, 2010

my graduation '07

It's almost five months now that I have been separated from my family back in the Philippines and one of the things that I miss most is being around with my dad. For my reader's knowledge, my dad and I have developed a very open relationship.  I probably don't see him that often because of his work, but through out the years, with all the problems and issues I've caused my parents and with all the pains he had caused the family =)  -- we both somehow found our ways how to be frank and honest with each other.  Discussing things by being blunt with each other,  may it be with tears or laughter, I felt that those were the most genuine discussions I ever had.   This understanding we have with each other has brought us the solid bond a father and daughter could have which I really really miss.

Daddy's Angels

I was never a perfect daughter (many could attest to that, hahaha) but never in my mom and dad's life they've forsaken me.  Never in my life I felt alone in my battles.  Even if dad would always be away from us, he would do anything just to protect me from pain.  I remember the time when my daddy allowed me to take scuba diving lessons just to get over a very immature heart break -- how cool is that?!
My dad had his flaws of course.  A good provider -- yes, but never a perfect husband nor father.  That reminds me all the dramas occurred at home -- painful memories  they are  but a turning point for each and everyone of us.  I must have judged my dad a few times but I would still remain his best defender.  I would never let anyone harm my family -- one of the things I learned from him.  He would never let anyone mistreat us ... no one. ( kaya nga ata ako lumaking siga eh =) )

with mom and dad New Year '10

My daddy means security, joy & laughter, love and my best friend.  This father's day, I am writing this entry to thank him for everything he has given our family, my family and to me.  He has taught me so many nice things in life.  He taught me how to be a God fearing person.

daddy at Greenhills Chapel

We always attend mass as a family. He guided me on how to become a good mother, good wife and good daughter.  He helped me stand up again on those times I fell and gave me confidence and strength to face my foes. He was not always there to protect us before, but he showed me how to and I did.  I protected my family the way I know he will.  He was the most astig dad I know -- and I am so proud to be her astig daughter.

Daddy with 1 yr old Rafael

I love you dad.  I miss you =(  I miss driving with you and brag how better a driver I am than you are.  I miss seeing you in your ragged shorts and filthy shirt whenever you try to fix stuff at home. I miss seeing you so sweaty every morning when you get home from gym. and pick mom form the gym.  I miss seeing you and Rafa play wrestling and whenever both of you work out together.  I miss working with you on my brag bangles -- but to be honest I don't like you helping me because I do paint the bangles better.  I miss seeing you in the head of the table whenever we have dinner as a family. I miss our family Sunday mass and dinners.  I miss watching you do your sassy dance.

wacky Tony!

I miss seeing you get angry with Rafael whenever he misbehave.  I miss having political conversations with you.  I miss listening to your work related duties.....
.... most of all I miss being your daughter =( I miss being with you daddy.  I miss crying to you.  I just wish life would be easier and I could live closer to all of you.  I know that you told me, that eventually I'll be able to accept that life has to go on like this... but to be honest -- I still don't understand.  It's hard and I know it will hurt you to tell you this, but it's really hard to be away from all of you. =(  I can't wait to see all of you this January daddy. I miss you so much.  =(

Sister's 19th Birthday

It's my sister's 19th birthday today! May 21, 2010.  I was chatting with her this morning and I really missed her!  She's been there through my ups and down and I can't thank her enough for being there and taking care of our Rafael now that he's away from us.  I couldn't say that they both like each other -- but I just know that she loves her nephew sooooo much.

 Rafael with his tata (tita)

My family and I used to joke around about her being dark and having flat nose when she was still young, but we were all surprised to witness a growing pretty morena and mature lady in the family.  She made us all proud for what she is right now.  She was totally the opposite of me I could say! Hahahaha! I am so thankful that she's been a very obedient daughter and supportive sister.I really miss her!

18th Birthday Pictorial

For her birthday, bought her so many stuff which I will send through a package - bags, top from Zara & Costa Blanca, make ups, wallet and watch! I gave her cash too! Happy birthday sis -- with Love from me, Luis, Rafa and our soon baby girl!  Wishing you all the happiness and the wisdom to grow as a fully grown and successful young lady. Have a blast!!! We love you so much!

Im Pregnant for the Second Time

This is the third day since I found out that I am pregnant.  Of course, Luis and I are both very happy because another blessing has come to our lives.  Wanting to document everything I am going through with this pregnancy -- I decided to go back and blog here in my long running multiply account :)
To start with -- for the first time I am experiencing morning sickness.  I never felt this during my first trimester with Rafael that's why this feeling is very unusual for me.  My mom and dad not being around made it even harder -- maybe you can also include my sister and brother -- and my yaya. hehehehe =)  I can remeber all the help and support I got from them when I got pregnant for the first time. I tried eating toast and a glass of mango juice this morning as suggested in the internet from my researches and tried to follow my mom's advice which was to fight whichever nausea I am feeling right now.  I'm a bit worried because I'll be doing this alone most of the time since my loving husband needs to go to work everyday.  I even have work this afternoon and tomorrow but I have no choice but to be strong and not let anything bad happen to me.

One thing that concerns me is our little Rafael.  We haven't told him the news yet because according to  my mom -- when she tried asking him about him having a little sibling, the little brat started feeling bad and he even said that he will no longer our son -- can't imagine a four year old boy can already tell that -- hehehehe.  That made me panic and rush his immigration application and be with us as soon as possible.  The original plan was to get him on December -- but now, I wanted to bring him here in Canada asap so Luis and I can both spend more time with him and include him in my pregnancy experience for our 2nd angel.  Actually we just talked awhile ago and mentioned to him that he's coming here soon -- and he was really excited!  He was even asking if he still has to sleep or just wait for daddy to pick him up.  He was really adorable.  He told me that he likes to bring all his toys and he said there's no need to buy a new bag because his old bag is still okay.  Isn't that cute???!!!  Oh, I can't wait to see and hug him again!  Just the way I am excited to see our new little angel... =)

I'll be back tomorrow for more updates!

Sigh! I miss this blog! It's been months since I blogged.  So many things happened already and I feel sorry for not being able to blog the most important events that's happening in my life.  Things happened so fast that I had to be focused and be independent for me to be able to adjust in my new world --!!! My First For 2010

I'm back guys! Whew.... thank God I had the time to at least visit this blog.  A lot of things happened already since my husband arrived and actually he already left back to Canada.  My holiday with him and Rafael was really great not to mention being with my dad on Christmas and New Year last year after spending lots of special occasions without him.  I am really happy that we are all complete last 2009.  Too much bonding and closeness happened between my two boys, we really saw how much our little boy missed his dad.  That's why sometimes I can't blame Luis for spoiling the little brat.  Dad met Luis for the first time which my dad was really grateful for.  I'm glad that my daddy liked my husband.  He can't say anything bad against him and already assured that his daughter is in good hands.

We also had our first trip as a family.  Luis, Rafael and I together with my brother and girlfriend Frances went to Cebu for 4 days and 3 nights.  We got the Palakbayan tour package from PAL and stayed at the first class resort of Maribago.  We met up with my dear high school friends Ces and did everything to enjoy our vacation.

Blissful Mind

It's 4:29 am of Monday, December 7 2009. Just taking note of the time I am sleeping again beside my dear husband.  We've been away for almost a year, and couples like us always do cherish each second spent with each other.  I don't want this moment to end.  If only I can stop the time and make a time only for us. This is it, the time I've been waiting for.  It may sound melodramatic, but for 11 months I had no eyes to stare, no hands to hold, and no bod to hug.  I am enjoying every minute of this moment.  He's just here beside me, and I can look at him and hold him anytime I want to.

I am smiling right now.  I like watching him sleep. He don't usually snore but he is right now, probably because he's tired the whole day. Hehehe.  I missed his smell, it's really him.  We maybe away for a long time but I know every inch of how he looks & smell.  Yes, it feels like the first time.  I love this feeling.  Being with him is the happiest I can be and our little Rafael would even make it better.  I hope things are always like this... in bliss and no doubt pure happiness.

He's been my strength when he was away.  His encouragements always worked and he made all things easier for me.  He knew exactly what to tell me... he was amazing how he brightens my day during my weary times.  He knows what to say to me whenever he knew I feel alone taking care of Rafa.  He was afar but his presence was always with me.   He's awesome.  Now that he's with me, what else could go wrong? Totally bliss!

I am smiling again.  It paradise with him and we more time.  I don't want to think when this will end and I'll keep smiling. I am glad he's mine. I'm glad I'm his...  definitely I'm in love.

I'll post photos soon!
