My Princess Brielle is 1!

Happy Happy 1st Birthday to my little princess Brielle Louise! I love you so much my sweetheart. You make things a lot easier for me and daddy. You and your brother Rafael are our inspiration, joy and one of the reasons why we love this family so much. I fell so much in love with you. I'm looking at you right now teary eyed. I can't believe that it's already one year since you arrived into our lives. Someday you'll get to read this, and I hope you feel my love.

The Big Brother

Without asking him, Rafael had the initiative to open a new can of Brielle's afternoon snack. I was impressed when he approached his little sister looked after her while eating. At first I thought he wanted to get some for himself but I guess my son is not a little boy anymore. He has grown into mature, independent young boy who embraced the responsibility of him
being an older brother.

Always On The Go

I took this photo just before we left to
pick up her brother Rafa from McNeely School today. That's Brie! Always on the go!!!! Still charming and smiling!

Tree Fort

Rafael brought home another artwork he painted in school. He told me that this is a "tree fort" or tree house. I am proud that he got the artistic side in me. I like it how he posts his works on the walls of his room and not let anyone touch or removed it. It proves that he values his works and he's also proud of himself.

iPad With Love

My mom and dad never failed to show how much they love their grandkids. That's why when Rafael asked his Dada for an iPad, my dad didn't hesitate to say yes.

 they love it!

 they were both enjoying!

Her Pink Cadillac

Brielle is growing so fast and she couldn't fit in her carrier anymore.
But Daddy Luis got her the perfect early Christmas gift.
I am so proud of my husband for picking the best for our daughter.
He searched the forums and found out that Britax is considered the cadillac in baby car seats,
and
Brielle got the cadillac... and not just a cadillac but a pink cadillac!

You could tell that Brie is happy! She loves it!
Thank you Daddy Luis!

Daddy's Girl

My little Brielle is such a daddy's girl!
Look where she wanted to be when sleeping... just on top of her dear daddy.

she is adorable!

When I arrived home from work, I found her crying on her crib.
Thought she wanted to be carried, but I was wrong.
She crawled her way to her dad and got the perfect position.
So precious to look.

Rafa's 2nd Month

Our Rafael celebrated his 2nd month here in Canada last Monday August 1, 2011 :)  I am just happy he's with us now. No more tears of missing him, no more worries and no more wasted time.  Two months of being with him after more than a year of being away is so fun yet a bit challenging.  Luis and I have to make sure that he learns all the good manners and proper conduct.  We always have to correct all of his bad habits such as sleeping late, not eating on time and shouting all the time.  Lots of reminding  and disciplinary actions going on right now.  I know it is tough too for him, but we have to make sure that he won't  get into trouble and will be a good example to his new little sister Brielle.

In spite of all that, he still makes us very proud everyday.  Rafael has grown into a mature, independent boy for the past 2 months.  I never thought that he will adjust that fast considering that he used to have a personal caretaker in the Philippines.  Now, Rafael can bathe & brush his teeth on his own.  He can groom himself and clothe himself.  There are already chores assigned to him such as placing tissue paper refills, throwing Brie's diaper and putting her worn clothes into the hamper.   He loads the dishwasher with detergent soap.  He helps me grocery shopping.  And he can also baby sit her sister whenever we're in the car.  For a five year old, that's already a big responsibility but he still wants to keep learning new things.  Both his daddy and I are very impressed including his Mamoo and Dada in the Philippines.

I just hope that he is enjoying being with all of us here in Canada and that he will be able to adjust completely before the school year starts in September.  Luis and I are doing our very best to give him a fun and adventurous summer.  He already took soccer & singing classes.  He experienced a day camp.   He will be taking floor hockey & basketball classes in the next two weeks.  And all our weekends this August are full of entertaining activities that he has never tried before.
