I'm here in the library reading about crafting. Martha Stewart's Encyclopedia of Crafts to be exact , I came cross these important tools that I need to take note. I thought I'd just take photos and post it here :)

Brielle And Her Hot Pink Chair

Brielle and I drove her grandma to the radiologist and I decided to drop by Home Sense to pick up some carpet for her room. And we found this hot pink chair that she kept pointing at! It has 50% off for $32 so I knew it was already a good deal! It was the only one left and people kept looking at the sale section so Brielle and I grabbed it right away! Another good deal! Can't wait for her to sit on it :)

Coloring Contest Winner

 Yesterday, I got a call from Minuro Aquatic Center informing me that Rafael won in their recent coloring "super heroes theme" contest!  It was an amazing news.  This is the first coloring contest he joined and we are so proud that he won!

Today we dropped by the center and claimed his prizes!  Prize loot includes a family admission to Watermania, Spiderman sticker book, and bubble bar!  He loves them and he was so happy that his entry got chosen.  Two winners were chosen and we saw all the entries hanging in the ceiling but I guess his stood up because he added stars and moon.  He used different colors and he did what I taught him about mixing different colors.

Rafael will be taking painting classes this fall.  We would like to encourage him and develop his talents.  Just like my family, we love art and we consider ourselves artistic and we want the same creativity grows within himself.

I was trying to clean my memory card and I found these cute photos of Rafael in school!
One of beautiful memories he will remember when he was still in McNeely Elementary School. 
As you all know, we already moved here in West Richmond so this coming schoool year we will be going to a different school.  I'm sure he will miss his classmates but this is a big opportunity to make new friends and memories again :)

Red Cross Swim Kids 1- Done!

Yesterday, Rafael attended his last day of swimming lessons. Their instructors hand out their report card and Rafael passed! I'm so proud of him. I saw him do back float and breath strokes and that is a great improvement that I've seen. I am so glad I enrolled him to these class which will be really useful and will keep him safe around the water. I already registered him to level 2 which will happen in the last two weeks of April, and I will make sure to guide him and advice him to focus so that he will pass it too. I'm already planning to register another swimming lessons for this fall registration. I saw that he got better and got more comfortable in the water so it does't matter how much we spend as long as we can see that he is learning and are all worth it.

Hives

We brought Brielle today at the emergency room again. We were at the South Arm Pool attending My friend Aubrey's son's 3rd birthday party when my our little girl started having hives on her chin area and speeded so fast on her neck, chest and arms. We rushed her to Richmond General Hospital with fear that it might affect her airways too.

Swimming Class for Rafael

Last summer, Rafael just got here in Canada so I was too late to register him in swimming classes. Then during the fall season last year classes were sold out right away. That's the only time I realized that swimming classes are really popular here in Richmond that it's a must to stay up late during online registration to assure your child's spot for swimming lessons. And that's what I exactly did this summer. Rafa's on his 5th day of the lessons today and so far I can see that he's getting better and really having fun! I bought him his first Speedo goggles and he told me that it makes his performance better. We're going to send him to these classes the whole year and will give us the peace of mind whenever we go to lakes and pools. I've read few incidents of drowning in lower mainland and God forbid that same thing will happen to my kids.

Swimming made my kids' summer more fun this year! Thanks to the government who offers classes for affordable amount!

I Survived The Golden Wedding Event

It's been awhile since my last post and it was because of all the preparations we did for the golden wedding anniversary of my my parents-in-law.  I thought that I'll fail... but all the hard work i did together with the family were all worth it! 

Most of the guts and my hubby's relatives were impressed.  I did the presidential bouquet, table centerpieces, balloon decors and video presentation.  I prepared some table numbers but hubby accidentally left it at home.  So we just tried our best to be resourceful.

I love organizing parties!  I feel that i can do it for the rest of my life.  I'm still hopeful that someday, I will manage to be a a professional party organizer.  God and time will only permit this to happen one day.  But I will never stop to this hobby of mine with my kids' birthday parties and family and relatives' events :)
