Red Cross Swim Kids 1- Done!

Yesterday, Rafael attended his last day of swimming lessons. Their instructors hand out their report card and Rafael passed! I'm so proud of him. I saw him do back float and breath strokes and that is a great improvement that I've seen. I am so glad I enrolled him to these class which will be really useful and will keep him safe around the water. I already registered him to level 2 which will happen in the last two weeks of April, and I will make sure to guide him and advice him to focus so that he will pass it too. I'm already planning to register another swimming lessons for this fall registration. I saw that he got better and got more comfortable in the water so it does't matter how much we spend as long as we can see that he is learning and are all worth it.

Hives

We brought Brielle today at the emergency room again. We were at the South Arm Pool attending My friend Aubrey's son's 3rd birthday party when my our little girl started having hives on her chin area and speeded so fast on her neck, chest and arms. We rushed her to Richmond General Hospital with fear that it might affect her airways too.

Swimming Class for Rafael

Last summer, Rafael just got here in Canada so I was too late to register him in swimming classes. Then during the fall season last year classes were sold out right away. That's the only time I realized that swimming classes are really popular here in Richmond that it's a must to stay up late during online registration to assure your child's spot for swimming lessons. And that's what I exactly did this summer. Rafa's on his 5th day of the lessons today and so far I can see that he's getting better and really having fun! I bought him his first Speedo goggles and he told me that it makes his performance better. We're going to send him to these classes the whole year and will give us the peace of mind whenever we go to lakes and pools. I've read few incidents of drowning in lower mainland and God forbid that same thing will happen to my kids.

Swimming made my kids' summer more fun this year! Thanks to the government who offers classes for affordable amount!

I Survived The Golden Wedding Event

It's been awhile since my last post and it was because of all the preparations we did for the golden wedding anniversary of my my parents-in-law.  I thought that I'll fail... but all the hard work i did together with the family were all worth it! 

Most of the guts and my hubby's relatives were impressed.  I did the presidential bouquet, table centerpieces, balloon decors and video presentation.  I prepared some table numbers but hubby accidentally left it at home.  So we just tried our best to be resourceful.

I love organizing parties!  I feel that i can do it for the rest of my life.  I'm still hopeful that someday, I will manage to be a a professional party organizer.  God and time will only permit this to happen one day.  But I will never stop to this hobby of mine with my kids' birthday parties and family and relatives' events :)

Happy Canada Day

Last Sunday, our family had a sort of celebration of the Canada Day!  It wasn't planned but my sister-in-law arrived with food, laing and desserts egg pie and strawberry short cake.  Then papa cooked hilabus shrimps and fried fresh fish, I baked barbeque ribs and there was sinigang na baboy left over.  So we all had lunch together and then went to Steveston after for some ice cream at Timothy's Frozen Yogurt again :)

As expected, it was traffic and there were lots of people.  There were lines in every ice cream store and balloonist in Steveston yesterday.  But we still got the famouse gelato from Timothy!  It's Rafael and Brielle's favorite.   We wanted to go to the carnival in the community center, however I had to work that night so we went earlier.

Brielle When She Was 7 & 8 Months

I stumbled across these cute and adorable photos of my little princess.  I don't remember posting these on Facebook so I'll put it here in my blog!  I want to hug her!!! She has the chubby cheeks you want to pinch!  These were the time where Brielle will do something new, like laugh for the first time, crawl really fast, stand on her own and take few steps while holding.  One of those exciting days!!! These photos are priceless!

Lu and Dyl Are Coming

I miss my cousin Luiza and her son Dylan! The last time I saw them I was still pregnant with Brielle!  But they are coming here in Vancouver soon!  They are flying from Spain on 1st of August! I'll finally see them again and my kids with meet the famous little Dylan! I can't wait!  This will be an awesome summer!!!  Here are some photos of our last meet.

Gradeschool Life

I was trying to clean my computers with unwanted photos and look what I discovered?!  Vintage photos of me! Hahahahaha.  Short haired tine.  I remember these photos posted by my best bud Ruby Rose Martin in Facebook! I want these files out of my computer so I will just post it here for remembrance.  Someday I'll show these ridiculous pictures to my kids and I exactly know what reactions I'll expect from them. :)

My Patio Set

I got a patio set!!!

 It`s not new of course. I`ll never buy a new one! I know that I can make things pretty so I don`t need new.  But I got mine form Craigslist, where else.  Just for $50 original $3000 and just 2! Steal deal baby :)  There were a little rust on the edges but I`m going to take care of it by this rust cover.

Then paint it with blueÉ Lime greenÉ Or pink againÉÉ  It`s gonna be pretty!!! I`ll be working on my patio set after the wedding anniversary.  Can`t wait to plan a barbeque day with my family!!!!

Steveston With Co-Workers

The last time my co-workers Emily, Shirley and Tunde planned a get together in downtown, I wasn`t able to come.  Then came another off for all of us and we planned it originally here at my place.  However Rafael got sick and I had no time to clean up and prepare some food so i suggested to just done out in Steveston and enjoy that sunny weather.  And sure we did!  It was tunde and Emily , me and my kids who were able to come.  Tried the fish and chips and the not so juicy burger of Sockeye Grill.  I probably didn`t enjoy their prime rib burger but I sure did loved the sun!  Finally a lax time for myself with my kids.  Too bad Shirley wasn`t able to come and her boyfriend Stanley showed up during our dessert time.  We had some gelato at our favoriteTimothy`s Frozen Yogurt store.  Rafael had the chocolate fudge and Brielle and I had the mango flavor!  Yumyum!!!!  It was a great day with my co-workers!
